Q: How do I make an appointment?

A: You can make an appointment by using our simple online reservation page or by using our RELAX The Spa Rochester App, or by calling 585-412-4994 to confirm treatment, schedule details and staff member.

Q: How early should I arrive for my Rochester spa appointment?
A: Please arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled appointment to ensure a stress-free check-in. For a new guest, please allow 30 minutes to accommodate completion of your guest profile. Spa robes, slippers, private lockers and beverages are provided for your comfort.

 

Q: Are gratuities included in the cost of service?

A: Gratuities are not included in the cost of the spa services. Our staff always appreciates knowing that they have done well and you are pleased. Our recommended standard gratuity spa service is 18-20%, which can be added to the credit card during checkout.

 

Q: Can I schedule a standing appointment?

A: Scheduling a standing appointment is encouraged to ensure your preferred time is reserved. It’s a great way to make the day spa service a highlight of your month.

 

Q: How can I pay for my spa service?
A: Payments are accepted in the form of cash, most major credit cards and RELAX The Spa Gift Cards.


Q: Do RELAX The Spa gift cards expire?

A: Plastic Gift cards purchased at this location expire five (5) years from purchase. They may be used to buy spa services only, at full price, and do not hold a remaining balance. Promotional gift cards and promo gift cards have a printed expiration date on the back of the card, as they are provided for a short-term promo and not the same as a purchased gift card. Promotional gift cards may not be combined with other promos, promo gift cards or series.  Expired promo gift cards will not be accepted. See spa for details.

 

Q: If I’m pregnant is it okay to have a massage?
A: Yes, in fact RELAX offers a special massage for expecting mothers available in the second and third trimester. Providing comfort and care during this special time, the gentle touch of massage coupled with careful stretching during pregnancy benefits both mother and baby.


Q: What should I wear to the spa?

A: Wearing comfortable clothing is recommended to ensure a stress free spa visit.  Most Rochester day spa guests change into our comfy RELAX The Spa robe and sandals for the spa experience.

Q: May I use my cell phone while in the Rochester spa?

A: Cell phone use is allowed only in the lobby. We encourage guests to unplug for a few hours of relaxation at Rochester’s favorite day spa.

 

Q: Am I able to return spa products?
A: In the event you are not satisfied with a skin or body care product, you will be given spa credit if the product is returned within 30 days of purchase. For other retail items, a refund will be issued as spa credit or back in the form of which payment was received within 30 days of purchase.

 

Q: Why do you need a credit card to make a reservation?

A: We ask that appointments be guaranteed against late cancellation or rescheduling with a major credit card.  If you cancel the day of your appointment, or if you do not show up for your appointment, you will be charged 50% of the treatments scheduled.  This policy helps us to retain great employees.

 

Q: How do I cancel or reschedule a spa treatment?

A: As a courtesy, you will receive a confirmation of your reservation prior to your arrival, as long as you give updated contact information when making the reservation. Should the need arise to cancel or reschedule reservations, advance notice is required by phone at 585-412-4994.  When you book an appointment, that time is set aside for you, and missed appointments prevent us from accommodating other clients. If you cancel the day of your appointment, or if you do not show up for your appointment, you will be charged 50% of the treatments scheduled.  This includes both "no-show" and same day cancellations.  This policy helps us to retain great employees.  If an emergency situation arises, please let us know so that we can treat your specific situation with personal attention. We recognize that there are circumstances that are out of your control (sudden illness, family emergencies, etc.) and we may make an exception to the above policies on those rare occasions.  Spa Parties are subject to terms of group or party agreement for cancellations.

 

Q: Are there any specific spa age requirements?

A: We accept guests of all ages, however, minors under the age of 17 will need parental consent for all spa services. So that all guests may experience a pleasant and peaceful environment, we ask that only those receiving services accompany you to the Rochester day spa.

- Before leaving RELAX The Spa, book your next day spa appointment with our receptionist.


- You are able to request extra time between spa treatments if planned in advance.

 

- Although lunches come at an additional cost, we’re happy to order food for you.

 

- Do not shave the day of your day spa services.


- Properly hydrate by drinking water before, between and after your spa services.

 

- Present any gift certificates or promo codes to the receptionist before your Rochester day spa services.
